A series of open presentations by teaching assistants from the Programming Department of the School of Engineering

On Wednesdays, October 19 and 26, and November 9 and 16, 2016, at 1:15 p.m., a series of open presentations will take place at the School of Engineering (Cuareim 1451), in which teaching assistants from the Programming Department will discuss the following topics: cross-platform mobile app development with Xamarin; additional features for Java; what’s new in Java 8; and reactive programming using RxJava on Android.

Schedule:

October 19
– Presentation on cross-platform mobile app development with Xamarin by Agustín Rodríguez, teaching assistant in the Department of Programming and a Systems Engineering student.

October 26 – Presentation on extra features for Java: the GUAVA library, by Van der Ouw, teaching assistant in the Department of Programming and a student in the Bachelor’s program in Systems Engineering.

November 9 – Presentation on new features in Java 8 by Bruno Ferrari, teaching assistant in the Department of Programming and a student in the Systems Engineering program.

November 16 – Presentation on reactive programming using RxJava on Android by Karen Martínez, teaching assistant in the Department of Programming and a Systems Engineering student.
