Startups Honored at the “6th NOVA Awards Ceremony—National Innovation Award”

Sur3D, a startup incubated by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) led by Alejandro Lozdziejski, a graduate in Systems Engineering, was selected in the “Startups” category at the “6th NOVA Awards Ceremony—National Innovation Award,” organized by the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII). The event took place on October 26, 2016, in the Hall of Lost Steps at the Legislative Palace.

His project enables users and businesses to harness the potential of 3D printing technologies by developing state-of-the-art software for image processing and computational geometry. It provides the tools that allow anyone to create 3D models.

Meanwhile, PedidosYa, a company founded by Álvaro García, a graduate of the Bachelor’s in Systems program; Ariel Burschtin, a graduate of the Bachelor’s in Systems Engineering program; and Ruben Sosenke, a graduate of the Bachelor’s in Information Technology Analyst program, was recognized for its track record and constant innovation.

Meanwhile, Una Escuela Sustentable was the winner in the Social Impact Innovation category. This school houses a microalgae bioreactor, designed and built by students in the Bachelor’s in Biotechnology program, which the students harvest daily and use as organic fertilizer for the school garden.
