Mr. Mazzotti is the former high school principal of the Uruguayan Institute of Pre-University Studies (Iudep).
The panel included Dr. Paula Pogré, a research professor at the National University of General Sarmiento in Argentina, and Dr. Beatrice Avalos, a professor of history and geography at the Catholic University of Chile and a visiting professor at the Institute of Education, who served as a mentor.
Avalos holds a Ph.D. in Education, Philosophy, and History from Saint Louis University in the United States. She is an associate researcher at the Center for Advanced Research in Education (CIAE) at the University of Chile. She is the director of the Millennium Research Unit, The Teaching Profession in Chile: Policies, Practices, and Projections, funded by the Millennium Science Initiative. She served as coordinator of the Program for Strengthening Initial Teacher Education at the Chilean Ministry of Education.
