Lecture: "The Origins of Liberal Thought from a Historical Perspective"

On April 20, 2017, the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences hosted the third meeting of the year for the Theoretical Discussion Seminar, organized by the Department of International Studies. On this occasion, Andrés Riva Casas, a faculty member who teaches Comparative Politics, delivered a presentation titled "The Origins of Liberal Thought from a Historical Perspective."

Prof. Rivas Casas holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies. He is the managing editor and a columnist for the newspaper El Heraldo. He published the article “Liberalism in John Rawls: From the Theory of Justice to the Law of Nations” in the book Contracts, Rights, Freedoms, and Citizenship (Editorial Biblos, 2016).
