Lecture: "The Political Situation in the Middle East Since the Arab Spring"

On May 22, 2017, the Pocitos Campus hosted a lecture titled "The Political Situation in the Middle East Since the Arab Spring," presented by Mr. Ariel Bercovich, Consul and First Secretary of the Israeli Embassy in Uruguay. The event was organized by the Department of International Studies and the Department of Jewish Studies.
Bercovich holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Cum Laude) and earned a diploma in Journalism and Media from the Koteret Institute of Journalism (Cum Laude).

He served as the head of special projects and inter-American coordination in the Department for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He served as director of the Radio Department at the School of Communications of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Academic Institute and as a cultural and political columnist for various Israeli media outlets, including Radio GAlei Zahal, Reshet Bet, 88fm, and the national newspapers Haaretz e Yediot Aharonot.
