The Democratic representative for Nevada's 1st District in the U.S. House of Representatives visited the college

On August 24, 2017, Dr. Dina Titus, the Democratic representative for Nevada’s 1st District in the U.S. Congress, visited the School of Business and Social Sciences. The visit was organized by Sebastián Bombi, director of the University Study Abroad Consortium (USAC) Uruguay.

He held a meeting with Julio Fernández, Ph.D., Vice Provost for Academic Affairs; Dr. Gaston J. Labadie, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Javier Bonilla Saus, Academic Coordinator of International Studies; Andrés Bancalari, B.A., Assistant Academic Coordinator of International Studies; and Enrique Kramer, B.A., Enrique Kramer, Academic Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Administration; Dr. Juan José Barrios, Assistant Academic Coordinator of Economics; and Pedro Isern and Cristina Edbrooke, faculty members of the Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies. The congresswoman gave a brief presentation on the current situation in the United States.
