The handball team finished as runner-up in the "19th UNISINOS Cup" in Brazil

The handball and basketball teams finished as runners-up and in third place, respectively, at the "19th UNISINOS Cup," held on the campus of the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos in the city of São Leopoldo, Brazil, from October 12 to 15.

This tournament is the second most important collegiate competition in Brazil. More than 1,700 athletes from 17 Brazilian institutions and 3 Uruguayan institutions (Universidad Católica, Universidad ORT, and the Instituto Superior de Educación Física) participated in this year’s event.

This is the first time a foreign university has won a trophy in this championship.
