From August 22 to 29, the exhibition "Cardboard Chair Design" took place in the central hall of the School of Architecture, featuring models of ergonomic chairs created by students in the Interior Design program. The instructor in charge is Architect Federico Ferreira, an ergonomist and professor of Ergonomics at the faculty.

The goal of the Ergonomics courses is for students to confront the reality of having to develop a full-scale design that meets all the specific needs of the future user. In this case, the assignment was to design a work chair that met the anthropometric standards for Uruguayan users, taking into account biomechanical stresses, the effects of dynamic loads on the object, the strength of the material and its joints, morphological characteristics, psychological demands, and the user’s specific subjective requirements.
