July 31, 2008
On July 31, the lecture "Electronic Technology Applied to Security" was held at the Centro Auditorium, presented by Prof. Sebastián Miller, a professor in the Digital Systems and Systems Architecture departments of the School of Engineering. The event was organized by the School of Technology.

The speaker holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering. Professionally, he has been involved in the electronic security sector since 1996. has experience in the field, having completed various courses both nationally and internationally and attended different international electronic security trade shows, such as the one held annually in Hong Kong (China). He has repeatedly served as an exhibitor and speaker at the National Security Forum held annually in Uruguay.

The security sector has shown significant growth in recent years, and electronic security in particular has been driven by technological advancements incorporated into systems. The reality for installation companies, as they keep pace with technology and market demands, is sometimes complicated by a lack of technical personnel trained in the field to install and commission equipment of medium or high technological complexity.
