Workshop on International Finance and Incomplete Markets

From August 18 to 21, the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences hosted the Workshop on International Finance and Incomplete Markets, led by Dr. Ana Fostel, Assistant Professor of Economics and International Affairs at George Washington University. The event was organized by the faculty’s Department of Economics.

The speaker holdsa PhD in Economics from Yale University and an M.A. in Mathematics and Economics from the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics in Rio de Janeiro.

Topic: Traditional general equilibrium model with complete markets.

August 19
Topic: Canonical model of incomplete markets.

August 20
Topic: Extension of the canonical model of incomplete markets.

August 21, 2008
Topic: Application of the general equilibrium model with collateral to the study of emerging market bonds.
