Lecture: "Chandigarh: Contextual Modernity"

On October 27, the lecture "Chandigarh: Contextual Modernity" was held at the Pocitos Auditorium. It was presented by architect Álvaro Arrese, an evaluator for Argentina’s National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation (CONEAU) and a member of the MERCOSUR Evaluation Committee. The event was aimed at advanced architecture students, graduates, and faculty members.

Architect Arrese analyzed the connections and similarities between the Civic Center designed by Le Corbusier, the Mughal architecture of India (Garden Tombs, fortresses, astronomical observatories), and the Imperial Center in New Delhi, designed by E. Lutyens.
