The business challenges facing the Uruguayan market must take into account the variables introduced by the Tax Reform, the context of the international real estate crisis, and, in turn, the scale at which Uruguayan projects operate, among other variables that will be analyzed by the speakers.
Mr. Kaplan was a Level 5 Professor of Cost Accounting at the University of the Republic. He has served as a business consultant in management systems, costs, accounting, and tax planning for over 25 years. He is an advisor to the Association of Private Construction Developers of Uruguay.
Mr. Foti is a Professor of Taxation 3 at the School of Administration and Social Sciences. He is co-author of the book “Trusts: Legal, Tax, and Accounting Aspects.” He has worked in the tax department at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and CPA/FERRERE. He is a member of the Uruguayan Institute of Tax Studies. He currently works as an independent consultant and is the Director of Foti Real Estate.
