On April 27, the lecture "From University to Nasdaq: The Mercado Libre Case" was held in the Engineering School Auditorium. The speaker was Constanza Abdala, Head of MercadoLibre.com’s Uruguay operations. The event was organized by the School of Technology within the Engineering School.

On April 27, the lecture "From University to Nasdaq: The Mercado Libre Case" was held in the Engineering School Auditorium. The speaker was Constanza Abdala, Head of MercadoLibre.com’s Uruguay operations. The event was organized by the School’s Department of Technology.

Ms. Abdala used the history of MercadoLibre to demonstrate how a university startup can become a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

The speaker holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, graduating cum laude from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), where she serves as Head of Practical Work for the Marketing course in the Faculty of Economic Sciences. Prior to her current position at MercadoLibre.com, she worked as a Supervisor in the Sales Department and as a Deals Manager in the Marketing Department for the company’s operations in Argentina.
