Seminar: "The Art Object in Interior Design"

On Tuesday, November 17, the Faculty of Architecture hosted the seminar "The Art Object in Interior Design," led by Architect Jorge Ardanz and Carlos Francia, B.A. The event was aimed at students, graduates, faculty members, and anyone interested in interior design, art, architecture, and furniture.

On Tuesday, November 17, the Faculty of Architecture hosted the seminar "The Art Object in Interior Design," led by Architect Jorge Ardanz and Carlos Francia, BA. The event was aimed at students, graduates, faculty, and anyone interested in interior design, art, architecture, and furniture.

The seminar sought to promote, study, and analyze the value and inclusion of art objects in all their forms within contemporary architecture and interior design, from a perspective of revaluation, complementarity, and creativity.

Interior designer Jorge Ardanz studied at the Scuola d’Arte di Porta Romana in Florence. He founded the company Interiors in 1952, a pioneer in functional design. Designer of the hotels: Columbia Plaza, London Palace, Oceanía, La Capilla, Nogaró, and Diplomat. Designer of the bars and cafés: Victoria Pub at the Hotel Victoria Plaza, A Baiuca, Bar Hotel Oxford, Café N.Y., La Castellana, and El Pacha. Designer of the nightclubs: Zum Zum, Lancelot, La Olla, Zucata, Unicornio, and Makao.

Carlos Francia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from ORT University and is a Full Professor of Drawing in the School of Architecture.
