Professor Participated in an International Seminar Organized by PREAL in Mexico City

On November 8 and 9, Dr. Denise Vaillant, Professor of Educational Policy in the School of Administration and Social Sciences and Coordinator of the Working Group on Teacher Professional Development (GTD-PREAL), participated in the international seminar “Teacher Performance Effectiveness” organized by PREAL in Mexico City, in partnership with the Mexican Ministry of Public Education (SEP) and the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO-Mexico).

On November 8 and 9, Dr. Denise Vaillant, Professor of Educational Policy at the School of Administration and Social Sciences and Coordinator of the Working Group on Teacher Professional Development (GTD-PREAL), participated in the international seminar “Teacher Performance Effectiveness” organized by PREAL in Mexico City, in partnership with the Mexican Ministry of Public Education (SEP) and the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO-Mexico).

At the event, which addressed lessons learned by countries that have successfully improved teacher performance and student achievement, Dr. Vaillant gave a presentation on “Improving Teaching Through Compensation and Incentives: What Does the Accumulated Evidence Show?”
