Project recognized at the "3rd Entrepreneurship Ideas Competition" and the "Open Coffee Show MVD"

On November 20, an awards ceremony was held for the winners of the "3rd Entrepreneurship Ideas Contest," organized by the Emprender Program.

Among the three winners is the SiMSI project, "Wireless Sensor Monitoring System," which aims to professionalize and optimize agricultural plantations and was pre-incubated by the Center for Technological Entrepreneurship at the School of Engineering.

The group consists of Rodrigo Sánchez, a graduate of the Audiovisual Production Technician program at ORT University, along with electrical engineers Agustín Caldevilla, Carlos Protasi, and Guillermo Spiller.

The awards ceremony was held at the Uruguay Fomenta headquarters and was attended by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Álvaro García; the Minister of Industry, Energy, and Mining, Raúl Sendic; the director of Uniemprende at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Prof. Carlos Hernandez Sande; and education officials.

This project also received an honorable mention at the "Open Coffee Show MVD,"which took place on November 25 at the Golf Club.
