Talk: "Two Animation Students from ORT University on a Study Abroad Program at CalArts"

On Wednesday, September 1, the lecture "Two Animation Students from ORT University on a Study Abroad Program at CalArts" took place in the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The talk was given by Florentina Pérez Ferrando and Sebastián Pérez Traverso, students in the Digital Animation Technician program who studied animation from January 16 to February 28 at CalArts  (California Institute of the Arts) in Los Angeles, thanks to a collaboration program between that institution and ORT University.

On Wednesday, September 1, the lecture "Two Animation Students from ORT University on a Student Exchange Program at CalArts" took place in the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The talk was given by Florentina Pérez Ferrando and Sebastián Pérez Traverso, students in the Digital Animation Technician program who studied animation from January 16 to February 28 at CalArts  (California Institute of the Arts) in Los Angeles, thanks to a collaboration program between that institution and ORT University.

During their stay at CalArts, both students joined a team to develop proposals for the Center for International Disaster Information ( CIDI). Together with students Rika Endo, Riyoko Iwamoto, and Jamie McElrath, they presented the project Helping Hands, which won first prize in the Broadcast category at thePSAid Contest, a nationwide U.S. competition for public service announcements sponsored by CIDI.

In their presentation, they showcased the winning project and explained their final-year project, which reflects their experience at CalArts.
