On Tuesday, September 14, the lecture "Tourism and Its Relationship with the Media: Tourism in the News—The Sector’s Position on the Economic Agenda" was held in the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The lecture was presented by Marcelo Risi, Head of Media Relations at the World Tourism Organization.

On Tuesday, September 14, the lecture "Tourism and Its Relationship with the Media: Tourism in the News—The Sector’s Position on the Economic Agenda" took place in the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The speaker was Marcelo Risi, Head of Media Relations at the World Tourism Organization.

The speaker is a professor in the graduate journalism programs at the Complutense University of Madrid. He is in charge of Public Relations for the World Tourism Organization in Spain and is a member of the Secretary-General’s office. He worked for over 10 years in international journalism as the chief economics editor of the Latin American Service of the German radio station Deutsche Welle. He was a producer at the BBC World Service in the United Kingdom and a bilingual correspondent for the BBC World Service in Spain. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Hamburg, Germany.

The event was specifically aimed at students and faculty of the Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a Corporate Focus, the Technical Program in Public Relations and Event Management, and the Corporate Communication and Public Relations Analyst program.
