A graduate-led startup was recognized by the Inter-American Development Bank

Kizanaro, a company founded as the final project of four graduates from the Bachelor’s program in Information Systems, was honored by the Inter-American Development Bank during the event known as Foromic, held from Wednesday, October 6, to Friday, October 8, and attended by 1,500 business leaders. The award they received, called the "Award for Excellence in Local Entrepreneurship," was granted for the development of the software used by the Uruguayan national soccer team at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

In addition to Kizanaro, the companies MCT Esco (energy efficiency and renewable energy) and Tierra del Sol (caper cultivation) were also honored. The three ventures were recognized for their entrepreneurial vision, capacity for innovation, economic success, and commitment to the social environment and the community.
