On October 15, Punta Carretas Shopping announced the six finalists of the fifth edition of the Lúmina contest. Noel Asís and Emilia Hernández, students in the Fashion Design program, and Laura Almeida, a graduate of the program, were three of the contest’s finalists. Each finalist will prepare their collection to present it in March 2011 before a jury that will select the winner.
Asís presented the Amélie collection, Hernández the Pupa collection, and Almeida the Departamento Cero collection.
This year, 80 students and designers from nine educational institutions (universities and schools) participated.
