On June 1, the ORT Centro Auditorium hosted the conference "Cyberattacks: The Weapons of Cybercrime," presented by Security Analyst Sebastián Bortnik, ESET's Latin America Coordinator for Awareness & Research .
As part of the Educational Tour that ESET, manufacturer of the ESET NOD32 antivirus solution, is conducting in Latin America, the School of Engineering is organizing this conference/seminar with the aim of raising awareness about the main cyber threats currently in existence.
Through its professionals from the Malware Analysis and Research Laboratory, the event covered the topic from a theoretical and practical perspective, including live demonstrations. Among others, the following attacks were discussed: Trojans, worms, and other malicious code, botnets, and phishing.
