The "Job Fair," organized by the faculty’s Graduate Coordination Office, is an open house event that serves as a platform for university-business collaboration. Its goal is to build trust to generate new opportunities and innovation projects. Participating companies can present their job opportunities, attract students’ attention, and interview potential candidates for their hiring processes. The following companies and organizations participated: Advice, AICU, Association of Engineers of Uruguay, AT Soluciones Tecnológicas, Bioerix, Buscojobs, El Gallito Luis, Globant, Integración AFAP, ITS, Kidbox, Manpower, Pronto, TCS, Technolab, Tenaris, Teyma, UruIT, Zimmic, and Zonamérica.

Twelve teams of up to three students from the School of Engineering participated in the “11th ORT Programming Contest,” in which they had to solve problems in Java or C++ within a set time limit. The faculty awarded prizes to the top three teams, and the top two will represent the university in the Latin American Final of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) Programming Contest, which will take place in Buenos Aires on November 5, 2011.

The winning teams are:
