Awards Ceremony for the Seventh Edition of the "Design Your Room" Contest

October 13, 2011
The School of Architecture organized the seventh edition of the "Design Your Room" contest, with support from Radio Disney. Fifth- and sixth-year high school students submitted design proposals for their own spaces, with guidance from upper-level interior design students. From all the entries submitted, a jury selected the three best, which were then voted on by the public. The winners are: Alejandro Danon, a student at EIHU - IAHU (1st prize); Pablo Rognone, a student at Liceo No. 1 (2nd prize); and Germán Moreira, a student at Instituto Crandon (3rd prize). The awards ceremony for this contest took place on Monday, October 17.

The first-place winner received a full scholarship to pursue a degree in Architecture or Interior Design; the second-place winner received a 50% scholarship, and the third-place winner received a 30% scholarship to pursue one of these degrees.

The jury selected the best entries based on proposals that stood out for their innovation, quality of space, suitability for their intended use, and constructability. The results of the public vote were announced on September 12, 2011.
