Architect Yves Besançon is the designer of the architectural project for the Continental Garden Tower Hotel in Santiago, Chile, which features a green wall technology that had not previously been used in the country and remains one of the tallest green walls in Santiago to this day.
Besançon is Vice President and Director of Publications for the Association of Architectural Firms (AOA) of Chile. He is a member of the Editorial Committee of the AOA Architecture Journal. He is a professor in the degree program at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Chile. President of the French Alliance Educational Foundation of Santiago and Partner at Alemparte Barreda Wedeles Besançon Architects and Associates. He serves on the Board of Directors of the School for Chile Committee as Director of Architecture, dedicated to the reconstruction and repair of 320 schools destroyed by the 2010 earthquake. He was Dean of the Faculty of Art, Architecture, and Design at UNIACC University.
