Teachers presented at the “Workshop on Sharing Experiences in Educational Innovation”

Dr. Inés Kereki, Professor of Programming in the School of Engineering, and Guillermo Langwagen, Academic Coordinator of the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering program, served as speakers at the “Workshop on Sharing Experiences in Educational Innovation.” Dr. Kereki presented the lecture “About the Seminar at Harvard and Applications to the Programming 1 Course,” and Eng. Langwagen presented “Reflections on an Experience: No More Classes.” The conference took place on February 20 and 21, 2013, at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of the Republic.

Faculty members from the Catholic University, the University of Montevideo, the University of the Republic, and ORT University also participated in the seminar “Strengthening Teaching and Learning in the STEM Fields,” organized by the engineering schools of those universities and Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas, which took place in June 2012 at Harvard University (United States). The faculty members shared their experiences with educational innovations that were implemented in courses during the second semester of 2012.
