The article “Biomimetic Nano-Silica as a Protein Chromatographic Matrix” by Erienne Jackson, a master’s student in the PEDECIBA (Basic Sciences Education Program) in Chemistry and an instructor in the Bachelor’s Program in Biotechnology; Mariana Ferrari, Coordinator of the Biotechnology Laboratory at the School of Engineering; and Carlos Sanguinetti, Academic Coordinator of Biotechnology; Dr. Valeria Grazú, Researcher at the Aragón Institute of Nanoscience at the University of Zaragoza (Spain); Dr. Jesús Martínez de la Fuente, Senior Researcher at the same institute; and Dr. Lorena Betancor, Research Professor in the Biotechnology Bachelor’s Program, was presented at the “European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) 2013 Spring Meeting: Bionanomaterials for imaging, sensing and actuating.” The event, organized by the European Materials Research Society, took place from May 27 to 31, 2013, in Strasbourg (France).
