Seminar: "Learning in Higher Education"

On September 10, 2013, the online seminar “Learning in Higher Education,” organized by the Center for the Advancement of Higher Education at the Institute of Education, began. The seminar was aimed at university faculty and was led by Mag. Liliana Jabif (pictured), a consultant for the IBE (International Bureau of Education) and IIEP (International Institute for Educational Planning) of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), Buenos Aires Regional Office. The purpose of the course was to provide practical guidance to university professors on some basic principles of student learning in higher education.

The course also examined the psychological foundations of learning, explored teaching methods and techniques that facilitate learning, and provided guidance on planning and evaluating instructional units.

Jabif holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences— Subject Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Lund University (Sweden).
