Article published in the peer-reviewed journal *The Physics Teacher*

The article “The polarization of light and Malus’s law using smartphones,” co-authored by Prof. Martín Monteiro, coordinator of the Physics Laboratory at the School of Engineering, was published in April 2017 in the peer-reviewed journal *The Physics Teacher* (Volume 55, Issue 5), published by the American Association of Physics Teachers.

The article was co-authored by:

- Dr. Cecilia Stari, professor of Solid-State Physics at the School of Engineering, University of the Republic.
- Dr. Cecilia Cabeza, professor of Applied Physics at the School of Sciences, University of the Republic.
- Dr. Arturo C. Martí, professor of Applied Physics at the School of Sciences, University of the Republic.

The paper was accepted in December 2016.
