Workshops for the "Yo Propongo" Communication Contest

From August 9 to 19, workshops for the "Yo Propongo" Communication Contest were held at the School of Communication and Design, aimed at 10th and 11th grade students. These workshops provide an opportunity for participants to meet with faculty members who help them develop their proposals.




Workshop Schedule MONDAY 9 - AUDIOVISUAL "Storytelling Through Images: Structure and Narrative in Fiction"

Leonardo Cachón, B.A. Bachelor of Arts in Audiovisual Communication, ORT University. Communications Manager for the OSE Vector Program. Coordinator of Technology and Audiovisual Projects at the School of Communication and Design. Gerardo Castelli, B.A. Master’s in Creative Documentary, IDEC - Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. Bachelor’s in Audiovisual Communication, ORT University. Producer of the 16mm fiction short film “Fine,” winner of the Latin American category in



the Kodak Film School Competition. Associate Academic Coordinator of Audiovisual Studies at the School of Communication and Design.

Former Editor of the magazine, Padres, Madres e Hijos. Professor of Journalism and Academic Coordinator of Communication at the School of Communication and Design.

Leonardo Haberkorn Technician in Social Communication. Author of "Nine Uruguayan Stories" and "Pablo Bengoechea: The Professor's Class." Former Editor-in-Chief, Qué Pasa supplement, El País newspaper. Morosoli Bronze Award, Journalism category, 2002. Academic Coordinator of Journalism at the School of Communication and Design.


MONDAY 16 - Advertising
"How to Generate an Idea to Sell a Brand"
Federico Russi Advertising Analyst. Throughout his career, he has worked for local and international brands. His work has won awards at CLIO, FIAP, Desachate, Campanas de Oro, Effie Awards, and Ojo de Iberoamérica. He won the first Grand Prix in Media Innovation for Uruguay.

Virginia Silva, B.A. Contest participants may submit their entries in the Audiovisual, Corporate, Journalism, and Advertising categories until Thursday, September 16. The two best entries will be awarded a full scholarship to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. Contest rules at
