Conference: "Web Application Security: Understanding the Enemy's Weapons"

On Thursday, December 9, the conference "Web Application Security: Understanding the Enemy’s Weapons," led by Mateo Martínez, Information Security Manager at Tata Consultancy Services Argentina; Mauricio Campiglia, security and networking specialist at IBM Uruguay and professor of Computer Security at the university; and Cristian Borghello, Director of the security website www.segu-info.com.ar. The event was organized by the OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) Chapter of Uruguay and the School of Technology at the Faculty of Engineering.

"OWASP Top Ten 2010: SOPA AGAIN?"

OWASP, which stands for Open Web Application Security Project, is an open-source project dedicated to identifying and addressing the causes of software insecurity. It is a non-profit organization whose main projects include the OWASP Top 10, a high-level document that presents the 10 most critical vulnerabilities in web applications.

He presented OWASP tools for understanding potential attacks on web applications. Webgoat and Webscarab are two OWASP projects that will be presented at this conference.

"TEN WAYS TO WRITE (IN)SECURE CODE"

The speaker highlighted errors in software development that compromise security and ways to avoid them by writing secure code.
