Dr. Spektorowski is a specialist in political theory and comparative politics, with a focus on ideologies, nationalism, and the radical right in Europe and Latin America.
 
Author of an extensive body of academic work on fascism, populism, and the transformation of the nation-state. His major works include:

  • Argentina's Revolution of the Right(University of Notre Dame Press, 2003)
  • Authoritarians and Populists: The Origins of Fascism in Argentina(Lumiere, 2013)
  • The Politics of Eugenics: Productionism, Population, and National Welfare(Routledge, 2013)
  • From Multiculturalism to Democratic Discrimination(University of Michigan Press, 2020)
  • Decline and Submission: Michel Houellebecq, the Cassandra of Freedom(Brill, 2021, co-editor)
In 2025, he published*Intellectual Post-Fascism?* (Cambridge University Press) and is currently working on a new book about the fascist right and postcolonialism.
 
His articles have been published in international academic journals such as*Theory, Culture & Society*,*Comparative Political Studies*, andthe *Journal of Political Ideologies*.
 
He was a member of Israeli Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami’s team during the peace negotiations with the Palestinians. He also participated in the International Contact Group, which helped bring an end to the violence and dismantle ETA in Spain.
 
Visiting professor at institutions such as Columbia University, the University of Notre Dame, the University of the Basque Country, Universidad ORT Uruguay Torcuato Di Tella University.
