The event marks the start of the National Furniture Design Competition, an initiative organized by the School of Design at Universidad ORT Uruguay Pronto Maderas, with the support of theUruguayan Chamber of Design, the Association of Professional Interior Designers of Uruguay,UTU, and the Construction Fair.
The launch event will include an institutional presentation of the competition, an inspirational talk by leading figures in the design world, and a creative ideation workshop open to the public, all of which will take place in person.
This event aims to spark interest among potential participants, foster collaboration between educational institutions, businesses, and designers, and position national design as a driver of productive innovation.
