Undergraduate degree programs
These programs have a minimum duration of four years. If you would like to earn a university degree, you must have completed high school and submit your high school diploma, duly legalized and validated by the Uruguayan Council of Secondary Education (International Validation Section).

- Have the necessary documents certified and translated.
Postgraduate Degrees
To apply for a graduate program, you must meet the specific admission requirements for the program you have chosen.
The program's academic coordinators can provide you with more information on this matter and on the documents required for enrolment.

Short Courses
These programs last between 2 and 3 years. They are not at the university level and do not qualify students for a master’s degree program.
To enroll in a short-term program, you must meet the admission requirements for the program you have chosen.

All documents issued abroad must be legalized and, if necessary, translated into Spanish by a certified translator to be valid in Uruguay.

Immigration
If you plan to stay in Uruguay for more than a year, you must apply for temporary residency with theNational Immigration Office.
The process requires the involvement of a notary public and the fulfillment of certain essential conditions for the filing to be approved.
The Student Exchange Office can guide you through the process, but we recommend that you contact the Uruguayan consulate in your home country to find out about the procedures and required documents before you travel.
