Academic Calendar
International students who wish to graduate from Universidad ORT Uruguay find information about upcoming start dates here or contact the Admissions Office for more information.
The academic calendar is also important for exchange students, as it sets the start and end dates of the semesters, exam periods, and university breaks.
It is advisable to check these dates in advance so you can plan your trip, register for courses, and adjust to the university’s academic schedule.

Language requirements
Virtually all university courses are taught in Spanish, so it is essential to have a good command of the language in order to follow the classes and perform well on exams.
If Spanish is not your native language, you must demonstrate a sufficient level of proficiency to enable you to understand the course material, participate in academic activities, and communicate effectively with instructors and classmates.
This will ensure that you are better integrated and can make the most of your academic experience.

Academic Programmes and Enrolment
As an exchange student, you will have the opportunity to take courses from different schools, programs, and levels, provided that the schedules are compatible and do not overlap.
This flexibility will allow you to design a curriculum tailored to your interests and academic needs.
All undergraduate courses are offered on a semester basis, lasting 16 weeks.
