The documentary was directed by Alfredo de Torres and Sebastián Mayayo, graduates of the Bachelor's program in Audiovisual Communication at the School of Communication.
Filmed in 2003 at the Cementerio del Norte, *Someone Has to Do It* explores the different sections of the cemetery, getting up close with the people who work there.
*Someone Has to Do It*offers a glimpse into the life stories, aspirations, frustrations, and feelings of those who perform this work—as arduous as it is necessary.
The film also participated in the 2004 “Espacio Uruguay” section of the 22nd Uruguay International Film Festival, organized by the Uruguayan Film Archive.
