These are some of the topics that Cuadernos de Investigación Educativa —the peer-reviewed, biannual academic journal of scientific research published by the Institute of Education at Universidad ORT Uruguayhas addressed over the course of its more than 20-year history and in its more than 100 published articles.
Its pages feature works by national, regional, and international authors—ranging from graduate students to renowned Ibero-American researchers—who have reflected on both local and global educational realities.
To mark the publication of the first 10 volumes of *Cuadernos de Investigación Educativa*, the following is a selection of 10 notable articles. These articles stand out for their approaches, contributions, authors, and the new perspectives they offered, which helped to deepen informed debate and foster reflection on educational issues and challenges.
1. What is object-oriented programming? A phenomenographic approach

7. Cultural Heritage Through the Voices of Young People: A Starting Point for Heritage Education

8. Learning Approaches Among Chinese University Students Studying Spanish as a Foreign Language
