12th Latin American Congress of Communication Researchers

Prof. Agustín Courtoisie, professor of Media Analysis and Ethics and Freedom of Expression in the School of Communication and Design, delivered a presentation titled “Collaborative Group Intelligence.”

“The Case of a PC Peripheral Failure” at the “12th Latin American Congress of Communication Researchers,” organized by the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) in collaboration with the Latin American Association of Communication Researchers (ALAIC).

The event took place from August 6 to 8, 2014, in Lima.

The topic of the presentation explores how Paul Feyerabend’s philosophy of science relates to issues surrounding new technologies and recent advances in collaborative forms of intelligence, particularly as they pertain to wiki structures and the participatory use of YouTube.

It is scheduled for publication in the ALAIC proceedings.
