Due to the pandemic, the event was held in a hybrid format. The dean, Eduardo Mangarelli, addressed all faculty and staff on the occasion of the awards ceremony and the close of the academic year.
Following that, the Academic Secretary, A/P Víctor Paulós, the Vice Dean of Research, Dr. Fernando Paganini, and the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Nora Szasz, presented the awards.
The teachers who received the Teaching Excellence Award this year were:
- Juan Pablo Russo, Engineer, on behalf of the School of Engineering
- Dr. Plinio Gañi from the School of Technology.
In addition, the following awards were presented:
- Mag. Magdalena Ripoll, an award recognizing a young teacher for her outstanding performance and remarkable dedication.
- Esther Hochsztain, M.S., and Assistant Professor Carlos Nieves, in recognition of their outstanding dedication and commitment to teaching.
- Dr. Fernando Paganini, Associate Dean for Research, and Dr. Andrés Ferragut, Associate Professor in the Data Networks Department, received recognition for their extraordinary contribution to the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
