Projects supported by the CIE received awards

Two awards and a special mention for entrepreneurs from the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) were the final results of the “Emprendedores en la Mira” competition, organized by Red Emprender.

Lock IT+Two awards and a special mention for entrepreneurs from the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) were the final results of the "Emprendedores en la Mira" competition, organized by Red Emprender. 

The startups Lock IT+ by Mariana Morales, Gastón Arbeletche, and Álvaro Muhletaler—students in the Systems Engineering program—and Fashionbox Store by Cecilia Mendlowicz and Margot Baridon—students in the Bachelor’s in Management and Administration program at Universidad ORT Uruguay the “Innovation in Tourism Services” and “Value Chain Management” awards, respectively.

Meanwhile, the "Good Life" project by Karen Mitelman, who holds a degree in Advertising and Communication, received an honorable mention.

The competition aims to support the development of new startups in Uruguay. This year, 31 projects were submitted, of which 17 were selected as finalists. The five winning projects will gain access to the Entrepreneur Training Program at the CCEEmprende Center of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at UdelaR.
