An ORT graduate will join the LIDER scholarship program

Grupo Santander Central Hispano and the Carolina Foundation have launched the LIDER scholarship program for Executive and International Immersion, which will include a graduate from Universidad ORT Uruguay in Universidad ORT Uruguay.

Lucía Vincent, a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts in International Studies program at Universidad ORT Uruguay, was selected as the only Uruguayan to participate in the LIDER program.

The LIDER program aims to select 50 university graduates from Latin America each year who stand out for their leadership potential in their fields of study and for their exceptional academic performance.

The program aims to develop participants’ personal and professional leadership skills. It provides emerging leaders from Ibero-America with an in-depth understanding of the realities of Spain and Europe.

LIDER will take place from July 1 to 19 in Madrid and Santander.

Participants will take a leadership course and attend lectures by various leading figures from the political, social, cultural, business, and technological spheres of Spanish society, including Leopoldo Calvo Sotelo, Adolfo Suárez, Felipe González, and Fernando Savater, among many others.

They will also meet with Emilio Botín, chairman of the Santander Central Hispano Group.

The closing ceremony will take place at the Moncloa Palace, with remarks bySpanish President José María Aznar.
