Víctor Vaccaro, a graduate in Biotechnology Engineering, was awarded a master’s degree scholarship in June 2018 by the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) in connection with the project “Antibiotic residues in milk: technological impact on dairy production and solutions for its mitigation,” coordinated by Dr. Lorena Betancor, a research professor at the Biotechnology Laboratory of the School of Engineering.
Vaccaro will join the Protein Technology Group at the Biotechnology Laboratory as a graduate student on August 1, 2018.
The project, which was funded through the ANII’s call for proposals under the Innovagro Sectoral Fund titled “Food Safety and Risk Assessment in Animal and Plant-Based Foods,” is being carried out in collaboration with the Latitud Foundation, the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU), and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of the Republic.
