Joaquín Rossi, a graduate and instructor in the Bachelor’s Program in Animation and Video Games, won first prize in the Mobile category at the 13th National Video Game Competition for his video game *Roadlight*.
The game was developed by the team at Piedra Alta Games, which was formed after receiving a grant from the Competitive Grants for Culture program in 2017. Rossi produced the project, primarily in his role as writer and game designer. The team also includes programmer Luis Ignacio Perdomo, artist Manuel González, and sound designer Marcelo Guaraglia.
As a prize, Piedra Alta Games will attend the Game Developers Conference, one of the most important events in the video game development industry, which will take place from March 18 to 22, 2019, in San Francisco.
The awards ceremony took place on December 12, 2018, as part of the LEVEL UY Gamedev Summit.
