A new paradigm in computing

October 23, 2020
The current model of computing is not the only one possible; quantum computing represents a new paradigm and opens up a world of possibilities and benefits for society.

This technology, which has been under study since the 1980s, is designed to solve problems that are beyond the capabilities of a classical computer.

"How does it work? What are its applications? And how does it differ from a traditional computer?" These are some of the questions answered by Carolina Allende, a research assistant in the faculty's Quantum Computing and Informatics research group.
