A representative from the European Delegation in Uruguay took part in an event on the European Parliament

This is a simulation of the European Parliament Model, held as part of the Bachelor's Degree in International Studies.

On November 8, 2018, Mr. Andrea Nicolaj, a representative of the European Delegation in Uruguay, helped students in the "International Institutions" course prepare for a Model European Parliament activity.

In this regard, on December 7, as part of the course taught by Prof. Agustín Espinosa in the Bachelor’s Program in International Studies, a mock debate of the European Parliament will be held in accordance with the Parliament’s own rules of procedure.

Through these opportunities, students gain a deeper understanding of international organizations and how they operate.

The goal is for students, working in groups, to each take on the role of one of the parties that make up the European Parliament and debate a topic proposed by the teacher. In this specific case, the topic of debate will be migration.

This is the third year this event has been held. In 2016, a simulation of the United Nations Security Council was held, and last year, a simulation of the OAS.
