The Rotunda typeface, created by Martín Sommaruga, Fernando Díaz, and Vicente Lamónaca—all graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design program and faculty members of the same program (Díaz and Lamónaca)—was selected as a finalist in the 2021 typeface competition held by the magazine Communication Arts in California, United States.

Founded in 1959 and with an international reach, the publication is considered one of the most influential in the field of visual communications.
