Vaillant holds a Ph.D. in Education from the Université du Québec à Montréal, a Master’s degree in Planning and Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Geneva. She specializes in the planning and management of educational systems and in teacher training. She is a member of the Committee of the World Association for Comparative Education. She is a member of the Board of the International Council on Education for Teaching. She serves as academic secretary, director of the Doctorate in Education, and coordinator of graduate programs at the Institute of Education at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
