ORT scholars presented their research at the Economics Conference

Dr. Néstor Gandelman and Carlos Casacuberta, an economist, presented two academic papers at the Economics Conference organized by the Central Bank of Uruguay.

On August 2, 2004, Dr. Néstor Gandelman, academic coordinator of Economics, presented the paper “Determinants of Performance and Promotion in a Worker’s Career: Evidence from the Uruguayan Soccer Market.”

For his part, Carlos Casacuberta, an economics professor at the School of Business and Social Sciences, presented a paper titled “Trends in Employment, Capital, and Productivity in the Uruguayan Manufacturing Sector, 1982–1995” at the conference, a study he conducted in collaboration with Néstor Gandelman and Gabriela Fachola.
