Academics presented at the 20th World Congress of the International Economic Association

Dr. Martín Pereyra, Accreditation Coordinator at the School of Management and Social Sciences, and Dr. Rodrigo Lluberas, Associate Academic Coordinator for Economics at the school, presented their papers at the 20th World Congress of the International Economic Association in Colombia.

On this occasion, Dr. Pereyra presented the paper “Non-technological strategic alliances and public support for innovation: What are, if any, their links?”, co-authored with Dr. Santiago Acerenza, a researcher in economics at the School of Management and Social Sciences at Universidad ORT Uruguay; Dr. Flavia Roldán, associate academic coordinator of economics and professor of microeconomics at the school; and Dr. Liliana Gelabert, professor of Economics at IE Business School.

Dr. Lluberas also presented the paper “The transmission of international monetary policy shocks on firms’ expectations and decisions,” co-authored with Dr. Serafín Frache, a researcher at the School of Business and Economics at the University of Montevideo; Dr. Javier Turen, professor of economics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC-Chile); and Dr. Mathieu Pedemonte, research economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.

The event took place in Medellín from December 11 to 15 and was organized by the International Economic Association and EAFIT University in Colombia.
