Ceremony for the 18th Annual Award for Excellence in Teaching

On December 13, the ceremony for the 18th Annual Award for Teaching Excellence 2012 was held.

On Thursday, December 13, 2012, the ceremony for the 18th Annual Award for Teaching Excellence 2012 was held. At the beginning of the ceremony, the Faculty of Engineering’s main activities during 2012 were highlighted.

On this occasion, the Awards for Teaching Excellence were presented to Dr. Nora Szasz (School of Engineering) and Carlos Soderguit, Engineer (School of Technology).

Awards were also presented to Dr. Lorena Betancor for her contribution to the advancement of biotechnology research, to Dr. Pedro Salvetto for his valuable academic contributions, and to Prof. Raúl González for his outstanding teaching career.

In addition, the Programming Department paid tribute to Dr. Inés Friss de Kereki during the event in recognition of her 25 years of teaching. She was presented with a commemorative plaque and a gift.

The event was attended by Mario Fernández, Dean of the School of Engineering; Patricia Corbo, Academic Secretary of the School of Engineering; and Víctor Paulós, Academic Secretary of the School of Technology.

After the event, a toast was held to mark the end of the school year.
