This is the second year this initiative has been held, and three companies participated: Berkes, Idatha, and Smartway.
Berkes proposed finding a solution for tracking and managing inventory of light tools on construction sites.
Today, this company has construction sites across the country, and each one has its own tool shed.
This results in items going missing or not being returned to their proper place, making it difficult to track and manage inventory.
According to Professor Nicolás Cremona, “a group of students is working on a solution to this problem using wireless technology and telemetry to track the location of the tools in real time.”
For its part, Idatha proposed a project aimed at on-site image processing using artificial intelligence for decision-making, utilizing a hardware device specifically designed and optimized for AI-based image processing.
Finally, the company Smartway presented a project aimed at the biometric identification of drivers. It is designed for transportation fleets with a large number of drivers, allowing them to register their fingerprints so that the system can uniquely identify which driver and which passenger is behind the wheel.
